Send the tray drawing or sample, sealing film specification and representative filled packs. Then confirm the mold arrangement, sealing method, operator flow and acceptance checks for the proposed configuration.
1. Start with the tray rim and mold
Record the tray’s overall length, width, depth, shape and rim profile. If you will run multiple formats, list each one and how often you need to change over. The mold has to be reviewed against the approved tray, not chosen from a nominal tray volume alone.
Physical samples help reveal rim variations that a product photo does not show. The existing DP-FK-170A equipment page describes a compact manual-assisted path, but its exact tray limits and output require confirmation for the offered configuration.
2. Treat film and tray as one package
Provide the lidding film specification, roll width, core details and any printed-film registration requirement. State the intended opening behavior and whether the pack needs a particular presentation after sealing. Film compatibility depends on the selected tray and sealing conditions; a generic “works with plastic trays” description is not enough.
Agree how you will inspect a finished seal using the actual tray and film. Seal appearance, continuity and opening behavior can be reviewed during the sample trial against your agreed packaging requirements.
3. Test with representative filled trays
Describe the product, portion, filling temperature and whether liquid, sauce or product can reach the sealing rim. Show how operators load trays, place or feed film, remove packs and deal with rejects. Actual product conditions can differ from empty-tray demonstrations.

4. Check every tray format, not just the first sample
If you have more than one tray size or shape, request a format list tied to the proposed mold or change parts. For each format, record who changes the mold, how the film path is set and whether the same film can be used. A successful trial on one tray does not automatically qualify another.
Keep the accepted tray and film supplier references with the trial record. If a material or rim design changes later, repeat the relevant seal checks before treating the new pack as equivalent.
5. Separate the base seal from process options
Heat sealing, film cutting, vacuum and gas flushing are different functions. If a project needs vacuum or modified atmosphere packaging, say so explicitly and ask which options are included in the proposed machine. A model name or a listing keyword does not establish gas composition, residual oxygen or product shelf life.
For US and Canadian installations, include the destination and available electrical supply. Confirm quoted voltage, utilities, mold count, consumables, documentation and training for the exact configuration before ordering.
